I had gotten HP phone help with this issue (spent the $50 ) and was told that my unit just couldn't use the latest W10 update (original error was, 'you need to free up 8gb in order to upgrade). He had me set things to disable the continued update, and things seemed to work ....for about 48 hours. Then things just slowed down to less than a crawl with everything -slowest I have ever seen, and I date back to the IBM original PC!
Called back, and we figured that the best thing was to simply reset everything, which has gotten this very nice unit running again.
However, I keep getting the W10 upgrade attempts and errors. I can't find a way to turn the W10 upgrade assistant off, and there seems to be something slowing things down, and filling up my hard drive to where I only have 2 gb free out of 28 total. I have virtually no files or data that wasn't pre-loaded.
Oh yes, now that I've reset everything, the unit doesn't know I have at least 6 months left on my Office subscription left; how do I restore that?
