Hello I have a problem with a slate 21 pro. I have forgotten password. I try to reset it with "sound down" + "power" to recovery system but my screen displays "erasing" "formatting/data" for several days!! I tried to restart the operation but screen remains blocked on this display.

@andré3 Here are the steps recommended by HP to reset the slate 21 pro:
Resetting with the computer powered off
- With the computer powered off, press and hold the Volume down button and Power button at the same time. ...
- When an HP logo appears on the screen, release the buttons. ...
- Use the Volume down button or the pg dn arrow key to move the highlighted selection to Recovery mode.

If none of this helped, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
