i recently put an sd card in my laptop to check what was on it and it started saying "syncing 35 items" and now that ive pulled the sd card out the "syncing 35 items" wont go away and my laptop is way slow now. How do get this to go away?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Try doing a Powerwash to see if that clears up the problem:
It turns out, you can still wipe the Chromebook clean with a keycode combination. At the first login screen, simply press Alt+Ctrl+Shift+R and tap the Restart button. Doing so brings up the Powerwash prompt, which you can choose to wipe the device clean within a few minutes.

Let's try this:
- Turn off your Chromebook.
- Press and hold Refresh
+ tap Power
.
- When your Chromebook starts up, release Refresh
.
