Hey @sreekanth579354 ,

Welcome to the HP forums.

I see you're wondering about potential updates to the Slate 7 Voice Tab.

At this time, HP has no plans to upgrade the Slate 7 Voice Tab product line to Lollipop. Your product shipped with Jelly Bean, and the latest Android OS available for your product is Kit Kat. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Please note that HP may continue to issue software updates to your existing OS. These software updates come through automatically when you connect to the internet. You can also look for updates by going to your settings on your device shown below.

How to check for system updates:

You must be connected to the Internet to check for updates. Use the following steps to check for system updates on your tablet.

1. On the Home screen, touch the All apps icon, and then touch the Settings icon.

2. In the System section, touch About tablet.

3. Touch System updates.

4. Touch Check now.

5. Install any available system updates.

Thanks.

The reply from The Great Deku Tree has indicated that HP has NO plans to port 4.4.4 to your device.

So in answer to your question:      No!  HP will not be updating your device to the latest version (4.4.4). I'm sorry...

Regards,

Louis

@DecTech--. It appears that @sreekanth579354 is actually asking about the 4.4.4 update now, not Lollipop 5.0 as described in my initial reply.

I cannot say for certain if 4.4.4 will be pushed to the Slate 7 Voice Tabs. All I have for information is posted above regarding updates. I can confirm that HP has no plans to update the Slate 7 Voice Tab to Lollipop but you should continue to receive updates to your current operating system as they are made available by HP. This is the best I can offer at this time.

What does the user do in the case where Android KitKat 4.4.2 OTA OS Image Update breaks WiFi AND HANGS when trying to put Jellybean 4.3 back on it, but the Update.Zip image file is missing from both Slate 7 Extreme HP Tech Support pages, so the user cannot revert to the working Jellybean minus the bugs?

Apparently HP does not know how to fix this bricking issue which infects the entire HP Android Tablet line.

Too funny, HP sent a Beats Special Edition as replacement for my Extreme 4450, but it already has KitKat on it with the bugs, so I sent both back.

What a nightmare.

I bought this for my bed-ridden gal pal who keeps bugging me for TV EPG info so she can look it up on the web.

Ah, but sadly WiFi dies due to some Google Snooping Server or whatever.

I guess her disabling WiFi then enabling it is still better than my getting bugged about what's on TV now.

Sorry HP There Really Should Be A Way To Revert To Jellybean MINUS THE KitKat BUGS.

I replied to the person from HP directly at their help address, not as a reply to the email from here, which would bounce.

Thanks!

Hopefully we can get rid of the KitKat on here and get it back to Jellybean which doesn't have the bugs with vanishing WiFi when it shows 5 bars and  blocking it from getting Update.Zip on here if it wasn't missing from the suipport page for the devices that need it.

It sure seems like Tegra chip-set is okay with Lollipop, though.
