Hi @piyushbhagwat,
Good Day! Welcome to the HP support forums. 🙂 I reviewed the post regarding Wi-Fi being always on the Tab 7. I will be delighted to assist you here. 🙂 Excellent description and great diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
To assist with accurate information I would require more information regarding his.
- Did this happen after a software or Android update?
- Did you restart the tab or power it down and check again by powering it back up?
For now please perform these steps:
- Please turn off Wi-Fi and power down the tab.
- Then power it back up and check if Wi-Fi is enabled or disabled.
- Please uninstall any recent apps that could be set to turn on Wi-Fi automatically.
F this does not fix the issue, please backup your files and perform either a factory reset or a recovery to factory settings. This should fix the issue for you.
This link http://hp.care/2t9rKsv shows you how to uninstall apps from your Tablet.
This link gives FAQs http://hp.care/2t8Z0jz about the tablet and shows you how to reset it. Follow the option “Can I reset my tablet?”
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, please. Please note that I am not overloading you with a lot of troubleshooting steps. Instead, just like you, I am eager to ensure that the problem gets resolved. So I am providing you with more resources and information at your disposal to deal with the situation better.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.
