HP Stream 7 Tablet - 5701
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I still own a HP stream 7 tablet and I regretted upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.

I already downloaded Windows8.1 from Microsoft and created an image on a microsd card. I inserted the micro SD into the HP stream 7.

How can I boot up from the micro SD in the stream 7 ?

Hi:

You have a couple of issues...

1. You can't boot from a SD card.

You would have to get a regular USB to Micro USB cable and have Windows on a standard USB flash drive.

See chapter 9 of the user guide for how to boot from the USB port.

Maybe you can try the F11 System recovery option shown in chapter 9 on page 25, if the recovery partition is still there.

2. Your notebook came with W8.1 with Bing and the product key in your tablet's BIOS won't work with the standard version of W8.1 you downloaded, and there is no W8.1 with Bing downloads available from Microsoft.

I have just tried F11 recovery.

I am getting error code 0xc0000225

A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with overcoming that error.

It is a laptop

I don't have a manual, the only choices were tablet or desktop, should I have chosen desktop?
