My printer is offline, how do I get it back on line?

I have a 6 month old laptop (windows8) HP & new Epsom 305 printer.
I have no problems printing from my iPad but when I try from the laptop I get an offline message.
I have tried switching off my router & on again.
When I go to printer drop down box there is nothing to tick online.

i have a six month old hp vision & a new epson xp 305. I print from my ipad with no problems,  so didnt anticipate problems with my laptop.

as my laptop doesnt have a cd drive i downloaded drivers for the printer & everything was fine till i tried to print.

now my printer tells me i am offline.

if i untick the printer the offline notice goes but i cant print. tick it again & i am offline.

I desperately need to use my printer with the laptop. Ive reinstalled printer, switched off & on my router & spent several hours trying to sort this problem.

please please can you help me

Windows 7 laptop.  Printer is offline.  When I open the control panel and select printers/devices, I right click on the checked wireless 6800 all in one pinter.  There is no "online" option to check; the offline option is unchecked.  Yet, I get the message that the printer is offline.  What can I do?

Hello. Before I can assist you with your issue, I need to get some more information first:

What printer do you have?

What OS do you have? If you don't know, refer to this link to find out: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows/which-operating-system

Do you see the wireless light on the printer? If so, is it a solid light, or a flashing light?
