I am having this same problem. I haven't used my touch pad for a long time and I was going to give it away so I reset it to erase all of my data and now I am getting that same server error visit hpwebos support.

@PoodyRN

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

I understand you are in need of support,

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

When was the last time it worked without these issues?

Please reply with the details for further assistance.

Eager to help!

If I have helped you resolve the issue,

feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon

followed by clicking on 'Accepted as Solution'

And Have a great day Ahead!

You have not resolved this user's issue.  His original question told you what the product was.  There is no assistance available because HP has abandonded webOS and the Touchpad.  Just tell users that instead of using unhelpful "canned"responses which make HP look bad.  The closer answer which HP should provide here, is:

HP abandoned webOS and the TouchPad some years ago, and the reason you are unable to set up the device is that the webOS servers have been shut down.  There was also a "stickied" thread near the top of this board (which someone "un-stickied"), about bypassing webOS setup, with links to an article on another site (here).  Sadly, the last time I checked there, most of the links to download the necessary files are dead.

webOS Nation Forums might also lead you to current information about installing LuneOS onto your Touchpad.  I've looked at trying to do that, and frankly the instructions are a little too involved for me and seem to assume knowledge which I do not have.

Essentially, webOS and TouchPad users have no service options.  They should be told as much.
