we do not publicly discuss future releases so if you are requiring an urgent fix or a date please open a ticket with your Polycom reseller.


In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you.

Seems to be an issue with MS Cloud PBX?

 

I'm using another 3rd party SfB Cloud provider running VVX 601, their firmware is 5.5.1.11526.

 

It doesn't have this issue.

 

For testing, I also loaded the latest Polycom Firmware from Polycom, 5.5.1.15937F, it doesn't do the syncing thing either.

I 've done more testing on this.  The issue only happens when I'm connected and utilizing O365 Cloud PBX with various firmware.

 

I'm using a 3rd party SfB hosting solutions, their firmware is something like 5.5.1.11432 which isn't an available version off the polycom hosted site.  Maybe a custom build or some version they have that isn't generally available.  Not sure.

 

Anyway, the issue doesn't occur with the 3rd party SfB solution, believe they run 2015 version.

 

Also for fun, upgraded to the latest Polycom 5.5.1.15937Q release, and the issue doesn't happen either with the 3rd party hosted Skype.

 

Switch to Microsoft account on the phone for their hosted Cloud PBX, the issue happens.

 

So something between Microsoft Cloud and the firmware I would assume.  But works with other solutions.

 

I know that doesn't help some, but is isolated to MS Cloud unless I read incorrectly that people are having this happen on premise or with other providers?

Hello all,

The "Contact Synchronizing" should be fixed via Polycom on the next UC software 5.5.2 Releas via:

 

  • VOIP-125154 Phone displays "Contact Synchronizing” continuously after registration with the microsoft.com tenant.

This release is due shortly.

I want to report that I have not seen a single "contacts: synchronizing" message on my phone since upgrading it to 5.5.2. Thanks for fixing it!

I am using UC software with the new 5.5.2.8571.  I am also using BTOE 3.4.2.

 

I continue to get the contacts synchronizing message with this new release.

 

I am using Skype for Business Online.

 

Any idea when this will be corrected?

The known issue caused by a undocumented change on the Microsoft end was resolved in the latest UC Software 5.5.2

 

If you still see the issue please work with your Polycom reseller to get this into Polycom support.
