Hello @VishnuvardhanK, Welcome to the HP Poly Support Community.
We understand how concerning this can be, especially when the Poly Voyager 3220 microphone suddenly stops working and others can no longer hear you during calls.
Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Check Mute Status
- Verify that the headset is not muted.
- Press the Mute button once and test again.
- If using Teams, Zoom, or another softphone, confirm the microphone is not muted within the application.
2. Verify the Correct Microphone Is Selected
On your computer:
- Open Sound Settings.
- Under Input, select Poly Voyager 3220 as the default microphone.
- Speak into the microphone and check whether the input level responds.
3. Test the Microphone Locally
- Open Voice Recorder (Windows) or a similar recording application.
- Record a short audio clip.
- Play it back to determine whether the microphone captures any audio.
If the recording is silent, the issue is likely outside the calling application.
4. Reconnect the Headset
- Disconnect the headset from the computer.
- Reboot the computer.
- Reconnect the headset and allow Windows to reinstall the device drivers.
5. Update Firmware
Using Poly Studio App:
- Connect the Voyager 3220.
- Open Poly Lens.
- Check for available firmware updates.
- Install any available updates and restart the computer. HP Poly Lens App – Manage Your Devices and Improve Communication with Ease | HP® India
6. Test on Another Device
- Connect the headset to a different computer.
- Test microphone functionality using a voice recording application or call.
This will help determine whether the issue follows the headset or remains isolated to the original system.
7. Inspect the Microphone Boom
- Verify that the microphone boom is fully lowered into the speaking position.
- Check for any physical damage, looseness, or debris around the microphone area.
