Product: HP XW4400 Workstation
Operating System: Linux
I recently bought an HP M700 2.5 inch 240GB SSD with the intention of replacing my hard drive with the SSD on my old PC with Linux (Ubuntu 16.04) OS. The related PC is an HP X4400 Workstation with Pentium Dual Core processor with 6GB of RAM. The PC has SATA interface with the necessary power and data cables.
To my surprise, the pacake for the SSD says "Not Intended for use in HP Workstations (Desktop or Mobile)".
Could someone please explain why this remark. I thought any SSDs should work with my PC.
Thanks
