HP Recommended
Elitebook 840 G2

Just to continue the thread https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/840-G2-broken-LAN-port/td-p/53... to which I can no longer reply for some reason.

I wanted to check in and report that this same part,  that little flap that is part of the ethernet jack on the Elitebook 840 just broke on my third unit.

That is now THREE **bleep**ty jacks that after being subjected to extra careful handling still broke after minimal use.

I typically use a docking station and only use that jack when i work from home for longer periods of time, at which time i prefer not to use Wifi. Being that the first 840 G2 I had the jack break so quickly, I have been extra careful with nrs. 2 and 3.

Still, they break. What a pisspoor design, this is very unsatisfying.

On to number 4.
