Today I received a brand new HP Elite Presenter Mouse that cost me over £55.00
So far that has been a 100% total WASTE of time, effort, and money.
We are already 19 years into the 21st Century, and between Windows and HP you would think that Bluetooth connectivity wouldn't be so difficult. It's hardly new technology, yet my Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit simply does not want to recognise this 21st century marvel. My laptop is NOT HP thankfully, but the device DOES connect to the HP Elitebook I have from work.
Before you go telling me I've got a faulty Bluetooth module on my non-HP laptop, let me assure you that it isn't faulty at all as I can connect other BT devices to it, and even the HP Elitebook connects to it. I can connect to the HP Print device I have, I can connect to my Sony mobile phone - just not this very expensive Presenter Mouse device.
You can call me paranoid, but if a HP Bluetooth device can connect to a HP laptop, but not to a non-HP laptop, then I have to wonder WHY? Is HP simply favouring their own products whilst making other products seem poor by comparison?
It's a Bluetooth device - so WHY won't it connect to a WORKING Bluetooth Laptop?????? Answers on a postcard please before this expensive presenter gets sent back to HP for a full refund
