This is the same as another question that was asked back in January. I don't know if they had a resolution.

"Realtek Gaming GbE Family Controller" is in my device list, but shows an error state.

''

The driver for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48)

''

I've tried updating using drivers from HP and Realtek but it doesn't help. Specifically, I tried the driver update app on hp.com and I tried these installers from the realtek.com download page:

Install_USB_Win10_10045.20_03302021.zip

Install_Win10_10050_05212021.zip

The Realtek Gaming GbE Family Controller is still blocked and I have no ethernet. What is blocking it? Can I disable the blocking?
