HP Recommended

I have just purchased an HP USB-C Notebook Powerbank. (product code 2NA10AA#UUF)

The instructions advise the button on the side should be pressed to indicate state of charge - pressing does nothing.

I have plugged into various USB chargers, including the one that came with my HP 1040 G3.

The results are all the same - two of the charge status lights come on very dimly and briefly, then all lights flash at normal brilliance three times, then nothing.

I have left connected overnight on a couple of different chargers, but nothing changes - no apparent state of charge when pressing the button.

I am thinking the battering is dead?
