When Google Clock is installed, the app icon does not seem displayed in the app launcher. Launch of Google Clock seems solely achieved via the Google Clock icon in the Google Play Store > "My apps & games" > "Installed" apps list. Pinning of the Google Clock app icon to the desktop shelf seems solely achieved by selecting the "Pin" option from the context menu of the Google Clock icon displayed in the shelf while Google Clock is open. In addition, at some point after pinning, the pinned icon seems no longer displayed.
