Product: Hp0P5162010 / L86540-011-1A

So got my new laptop today and went to set up and sign into my account ...pressed control 2 to get the @ sign and it gives me a " .... So same thing happened again.. so when I tried pressing control " then it comes up with the @ sign? What is going on..can I fix it or should I send it back
