Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

Re my HP Probook 470 G3

I'm curently running a samsung ssd evo 850 250GB with no problem since new.

I'm now wanting to upgrade this drive an increase it's size to and samsung evo 860 1TB.

But I see that the manual states:

"Mini card M.2 2280 SSD (NGFF), SATA-3
Supports the following drives:
● 256 GB TLC
● 128 GB TLC
Set as primary storage if selected"

Will a 1TB SSD m.2 drive work?

I don't understand why there is a 256GB limit.

Can anyone help or explain.

Cheers in advance for your assistsance.
