My synpatics driver is not retaining its SmartSense setting and consistently resets to the default value. I would like this feature turned off but it keeps resetting.

I have tried the regedit edit of changing restore all defaults in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTPCpl

and DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade setting in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

These two settings have stopped my initial problem where NONE of the settings were kept such as two finger scrolling, x-axis scrolling.

But despite the registry changes I have made, the SmartSense setting keeps reseting.

I have also changed the default value of all PalmKms... is 0 in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Defaults.

But none of this has worked. My synaptics driver is up-to-date too.

Here is my NFO info: (open either pic in a new tab to view full size)
