HP DesignJet 750C Plotter Model #C3196A
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Here is my problem. This is an old -1995 - plotter that is our small company's workhorse large plotter (not used regularly).  It worked fine last week when I plotted 10 drawings out.  Now when I turn it on it goes through the initialization steps, asks me to load media to align cartridges, and it takes the paper into the proper feed, but then it stops at "Roll Load"/"Sheet Load" option and won't advance further.  No error codes, the display is just stuck at that step and the buttons don't respond to my input (I tried both buttons).  I have restarted it multiple times and checked the obvious connections.  This was my first time loading paper on my own and I will say that intially I didn't know it would auto feed and I had the "release arm" up and was manually feeding the paper further around the roller, but I figured out that didn't work when it kept telling me it couldn't find the edge.  So then when I put the release arm down I was able to feed it in properly and like I say it takes it up (telling me that the motor might not have suddenly failed?) but I am completely stuck at that point.  It went past the "roll feed" once when I first was mistakenly manually feeding it, and I got to the point that I could select the type of media, but not since I figured out that I let it auto-feed. If that last part makes sense.  HELP. I know it's an old printer but it's tried and true (usually) and we really don't have need for one enough to justify a new one if possible.  THANK YOU!
