What's the difference?

I'll answer my own question here: after thirty minutes of googling, youtubing and painstakingly comparing pdfs side-by-side... there's no difference.  Looking at other posts on here for other printer series it seems that HP just likes to confuse people/keep themselves busy by creating different model numbers for different colour options or different manufacturing batches or locations. But no, don't bother to explain that anywhere, or hide it on the back in part number, manufacturer reference or something like that. Nope, create a bunch of arch and difficult-to-surmise model numbers (oh, and corresponding separate product specs, pages and documents, of course) just to waste everyone's time.  I suppose tech pubs would be bored otherwise.

I hope this saves at least one person half an hour.

HP: Get it together. Get it all together and put it in a backpack.  All of it.  So it's together. And if you've gotta take it somewhere, take it somewhere, you know? Take it to the store and sell it. Or put it in a museum, I don't care what you do.  You just gotta get it together.

Get it together.

Lastly, yes.  Composing this probably took an extra twenty minutes... Worth it.
