Greetings

Originally my issue was that my 5740 would not recover from Power Save on it's own so each new time I wished to print I had to shutdown and restart the printer and this is with the reported best HPLIP driver and ppd. After looking up solutions I followed the suggestion to reset the 5740 by unplugging power while it was still turned on, waiting for 10-20 seconds, and restarting.

Since then my problem is my web interface is locked.  I can get in for basic info but anything deeper, like changing settings, pops up a login bubble and what I understand is reset default (user-admin, password-admin) does not work nor does the one I originally made which is remembered by my browser.

So....

HOW DO I UNLOCK THIS MESS? and return even to crippled printing? It ould be great if Power Save wasn't a problem but even ANY printing would be better than this.  Please help.

Note: I am versed in networking and have verified no router or firwall issues are blocking access.
