Product: HP Scanjet 4890 Photo Scanner
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

Have had this scanner for several years it has worked fine on my Sony Vaio laptop. A fey months ago it quit. I've tried to reinstall software several times. When I press a button on the scanner to start a scan, I get this message popup: "Error! An unexpected internal error has occurred. Click OK to close the program, and then try one of the following: -Restart the program. -Restart the PC and then try again. -Reinstall the Photo & Imaging Software and try again." I have used the HP print scan doctor several times, it says scanner is OK. I can use the Windows Scanner Camera Wizard to do a can. I really need to scan some 35mm slides which I can't do with the wizard.
