Hello,

Ages ago, we used to use a lot of scripts to assist with batch plotting.  We used this on our old z6100, 1055, and lots of other old HP plotters.  For example, we would set up a batch file with a command to copy tiffs and PDFs directly to the plotter, like this:

copy /B %1 "\\MyServer\HP6100ps"

We would like to set this up again in order to help us create a script for plotting functions to both plot, and tie in to our existing, non-HP, print tracking software.

The issue being, if you use the web interface on these plotters, everything works fine, but it bypasses our tracking software.  I'm looking for a way to directly submit a file to the plotter, but do it through a command line interface instead fo the plotter's internal web service, to give us a little more control over the process, so we can capture what we need to properly track print costs.

I'm aware there are some tracking functions built in to the web interface, but we run many brands and types of printers.  The goal here is to integrate with the print auditing software that we already have implemented.

Is there any documentation regarding the sytax and options available for command line based plotting?

Thanks all,

Stefan
