I have an HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 5000 s4 that I have been trying to install for several hours. I've tried installing and reinstalling, rebooting, and following the tips on these similar posts without any luck.
What gets me is that when I run the HP Easy Start, it seems to eventually see the scanner, so I select it (pictured) and install the software. But that's when my luck stops. It says it installed the software, but the scanner never shows up in HP Easy Scan or in my Mac's scanner/printer settings. Even after rebooting, nothing—and doing that again seems to search for software and offers to install what I just have—it's like it doesn't see the software at all.
