Newly installed Poly P5 Professional Webcam is recognized by both Windows 11 Settings app and also the Poly Studio App. Studio App correctly reports the Serial Number from the device as 213900615. The product ID is reported as 9296 (no idea if that's correct).

1) The device LED is constantly lit in red.

2) Win 11 shows empty black video pane when testing the camera and Poly App shows black also. Yes, the privacy aperture is open!

3) HP help system refuses to accept the SN of the device when I try to add the product to my profile for automated diagnosis.

Any guidance in diagnosis would be appreciated.

Doh! I solved my own issue. The photocopied setup instructions I got from Woot along with my refurbished webcam did not indicate that the ring that opens/closes the privacy shutter has to "click" into the full open position before the webcam will enable itself. I just wasn't turning the dial far enough.

Hopefully this silly adventure will be helpful to someone else!
