I recently replaced my HP LJ M1530 MFP with a new HP LJ M1530 MFP ... same to same.
I suppose it was silly to think that the computer would just accept the new machine ...
I reinstalled the drivers and cannot scan. The first time around, installation included the scanner driver and dropped the HP Scan icon on my desktop. Since a new icon did not appear, I clicked on the old one. Now I get a pop-up that asks me to choose between HP LJ M1530 MFP Series Scan and HP LJ M1530 MFP Series #2. Neither one works and each generates error messages.
I need the dummies version set of instructions to clear out the erroneous information and set up the scanner.
Help me Obi Wan Kenobi ...
