Hello,
I purchased a Z820 workstation 4 years ago. I've switched my 850W PSU with the 1125W PSU. I get an error massage when turning on my computer. It's a "525-Front Chassis fan (2) not detected" massage.
and I have an option to press ESC for startup menu or F1 to Boot. After booting windows loads up and it seems that everything works fine. I've just updated my bios provided by HP and I still get the error massage when rebooting. I'm guessing that my machine is missing a fan that is provided with the Z820 machines that use the 1125W PSU.
My questions are :
- Is that fan necessary? If so where can I buy it and what is the model? If its not necessary how can I disable the error massage on reboot?
- Is there a way of knowing which fans in my machine are working properly and how many I have without opening the case?
Thanks for your help!
