I have a Laserjet P1102 printer which was previously connected to an old HP Windows 7computer which worked perfectly but after having recently upgraded my computer to an HP all in one on Windows 10, I have been experiencing issues with the P1102 printer.
IInitially, the computer could not find the printer even though it was connected via a USB so I manually put it in, updated all the drivers and then the HP Print and Scan doctor did a diagnostic and found nothing amiss with the printer.
It is almost as though the printer 'forgets' what it is printing if there is more than one job in the pipeline, if this makes sense.
The issue I am having is that prints fine if I print only one page, or multiple pages of the same print job but if I try to print different pages, one after the other, in quick succession, they either come out as blank pages or the page comes out with a small part of page one on the top and page 2 on the rest of the page.
Where it is causing me a big issue is that I run payroll and have to print off three different reports, previously I have set them to print one after the other and they have come out with no problems but now, report one gets merged into report 2 and report 3 comes out as a blank page. This has only occured since connecting this printer to the new computer. If I print report 1, wait until the paper is halfway through the priner and then set report 2 to print, there is no issue but I don't want to have to wait to do it like this . Unfortunately, I can't reconnect to the old Windows 7 computer to check anything as I no longer have it.
Any suggestions as to how I might rectify this would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Pauline
