I tried to use the Diagnostic Tool SP 81314 on my PC only to find it needs to create a partition to work if you don't want to execute it from a USB stick. So when I realized my PC's only drive was MBR and already had 4 partitions I cancelled the process which was about 70% through and seemed frozen. Being an MBR Drive with 4 partitions, the last being C: Drive with the OS on it I wondered if it would have destroyed that partition. A warning would have been nice HP. So I shut down and rebooted and everything seems OK. I have no problems with the hardware but the current Diagnostic tool HP Ver 1.8.0.0 only tests the HD and Memory. Why HP Update Assistant doesn't update it I don't know. I would like to try the USB method toworrow so I was wondering if anyone has any tips?
