Hi everybody,
One week ago I bought HP 17ak006nm laptop. I was succesful at solving all the issues with network and graphics, but there is one more that I just couldn't find solution to, and that is my HP TrueVision HD integrated camera.
Windows 7 is just not detecting it at all. If I go to Device Manager, there is not even an option for Imaging devices. Searching for hardware changes is not finding it, it's also not listed when I check to see hidden devices. I tried all kinds of different methods that I found online, but nothing works.
Strange is that is working just fine in Windows 10. And I even tried to see if it will work in Linux (Ubuntu) and after only two lines of code in terminal it worked there also. So I don't think this is some wire not connected problem because two other operating systems are detecting it just fine. Only windows 7 have a problem with it.
If anybody could help me solve this issue, I would be very greatfull. And sorry for bad english.
