Problem: Bluetooth has quit working. Have used it many times before; it stopped working one day for no apparent reason. Bluetooth no longer appears in the action center.
My system: HP Spectre 13-v011dx, Windows 10 64-bit. BIOS version: Insyde F.34, 6/15/2017.
Other info:
- Bluetooth also no longer appears in Device Manager.
- However, under "Universal serial bus controllers," there appears an "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". It had a triangle with an exclamation point, so I disabled it.
- It's possible to make the bluetooth briefly reappear: I uninstall the Unknown USB Device from device manager, restart the computer, go into BIOS, reload factory defaults, save and exit. When it starts up, Device Manager and Action Center will both show bluetooth. But then the bluetooth will disappear within a minute, and the Unknown USB Device will reappear.
