Product: cm1415fnw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

The printer bought several years ago and it is working fine but it can only scan to usb drive. Today I tried to reinstall the driver thinking that might help the scanning in several ways

 

1. Download lastest driver from HP and failed

 

2. Using the printer builtin driver and add a new printer to the Devices and Printers . I have to choose install from Windows Update or from the Installation CD.provided along with the  new printer. I chose to install driver from CD, it failed. A messege show out 

 

" Windows found driver software for your device but encounter an error while attempting to install " The remote procedure call failed.

 

I also chose to install from Windows Update, not working also.
