Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw
Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Today I got a HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw from HP´s online store. I configured the printer and got the wireless connection up and going with the router. But when I was trying to install the printer on my Macbook I was out of luck. I installed the HP Easy Start application and the printer shows up as an option to install. But when I choose to use it nothing further happens. It just says that "collecting information" and then finally an error message shows up saying that it's not possible to communicate with the printer.

 

I tried the Apple-installation-way but there I get the error message: Kan inte ansluta till ”HP Color LaserJet MFP M281fdw (498EB2)._ipps._tcp.local.” på grund av ett fel.

 

The network-info-page from the printer says it has a IP-number and is connected to the router.

 

Any suggestions what to do?
