Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had this notebook for about 2.5 years and it has been operating well.  Just the other night, I had it plugged in to charge and went to move the charger.  When I did that, I noticed the charger was very hot.  I unplugged it immediately and lifted the notebook to find the bottom to be very hot.  Neither my battery nor charger have been on any list for recall.  Has anyone else had this problem crop up suddenly?
