Product: HP Pavilion 24-b200 All-in-One Desktop PC series
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Windows10 OS comes with Windows Defender. This security progam keeps blocking changes to my computer's memory and controlled files by the program EDT_GetSMART.exe

 

I was not sure at first if this was a virus or the result of one, and after contacting Microsoft, they told me it is an HP origin program. I was wondering what this program is and whether or not it is imporatnt? If it is imporatnt or useful, how can I get my computer to stop blocking it?
