I recently got this notebook secondhand. It had a clean install on it, so Windows 10 was setup from new.
I after using for about a day I kept getting a BSOD. As it was a new install I thought the easiest think was just to do a recovery. So I went into the HP Recovery utility and started that running.
At 16% is failed with an error (which unfortunately I didn't record). The onlt option given was to do a restart. Upon restart I get the message on screen shown in the subject of this post.
I have a bootable USB stick, so I have tried going into the repair and going to the console. The files still appear to be on the SSD, but it fails to recognise it as a boot disk.
While I was at the screen shown below I decided to run the tests. The disk drive test passes no problem, but the memory test fails on the second memory stick. So I think that is the route cause of the issue. So another question is how can I replace the faulty memory in this notebook?
I can't work out exectly what I need to do to correct this issue. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Allen
