HP Recommended

My touchpad on my HP laptop stops working at random times, specially when I start the computer. The cursor stops moving at random times even if it had been working fine a few minutes prior. The cursor also occasionally lags a little. This has been happening for about a month and a half and I have tried most conventional solutions like updating and rolling back drivers, enabling the mousepd etc. but nothing works long term to fix the issue. I bought this laptop about three months ago and this really hinders my working on the laptop and is a source of constant stress recently. Please help.
