hello,
I had a Windows 10 desktop with the most current version (1809) installed. I have onboard AMD R7 Graphics video, and am trying to use it, but am having lots of blackout issues.
The version posted on the "Software" for the desktop shows the most current download was for Windows10 version 1709. There is no mention of a newer driver for 1803 or 1809 versions.
It is clear from the website, that each new release of Windows 10 had its own driver, but not the case for the last two releases.
The AMD CAtalyst software that updates itself does not also resolve the issue, so the issue must be specific to HP AMD Desktops featuring Onboard R7 Video.
Does everyone agree that a newer version is needed? I did confirm with the UEFI software that the "Display Test" fails on the Palette test (though not the other video test).
Has anyone run into this and found a workaround?
I know the issue is isolated to the AMD R7 driver, because when I use the Microsoft Drivers, there are no blackouts.
I am currently in the process of shopping for a dedicated card, and will probably go the Nvidia route to avoid future complications.
