HP Recommended

I am using Hp pavilion 14-bf0xx i7-7th gen with 4gb of DDR4 ram with a speed of 2133 MHz. I am planning to add a 4gb DDR4 ram.

1.) What TYPE and BRAND is recommend for me to use so that it would be compatible with my laptop ?

2.) Am I allowed to add 8gb ram instead of 4gb. So that my laptop would have a total of 12gb of ram ?
