Product: HP Envy 17-n065na
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I see that others have had this problem and wonder if there was ever a solution? After about 2 years of light usage the lacquer started coming off the touchpad on my Envy. Model: Envy 17-n065na.
I described the issue to a HP rep at the Theo Paphitis award winners event last February and felt well and truly fobbed off, but now I see it is a common problem, making it very hard to get a used part that doesn't have the issue.
Any advice? I'm currently toying with the idea of scraping off (or removing with acetone) the remaining coating, so that it's more usable.
