I am trying to connect my HP Spectre x360 15t-bl100 to a monitor through the Thunderbolt/USB-C port.
I am not using a docking station. I tried connecting with a cable that is USB-C at one end and DVI at the other. It is not working.
I have seen so much conflicting information that I am confused. Several places said to check that DP Alt Mode is enabled. Where do I find this to check?
While my laptop has the Thunderbolt symbol next to one of the USB-C parts, I am not sure how to double check that Thunderbolt firmware and drivers are is really installed. The update center says everything is up to date.
I am considering getting an Adapter from USB-C to VGA like this one, but it still says it requires DP Alt Mode. So I really need to figure out how to confirm if that is working, or how to install/enable it.
