OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dh0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a "OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dh0xxx" connected to a "HP Thunderbolt Dock 230W G2 w/ Combo Cable". The Omen does not see the G2. However, I also have the 120W G2 Dock, and the Omen can see devices on the docking station.

So, I connected the 230W "Combo Cable" to the 120W G2 dock's power supply, and the Thunderbolt seems to work. The connected monitor and USB devices are then available. But, now I can't use the power for the laptop, because it needs 200W.

Why does the extra power to the 230W G2 Dock make the Thunderbolt not work?

One more thing... if I don't power down the Omen, and switch back to the 230W power supply, everthing works... until I turn off the laptop.
