Dear all,
my M2835DW goes to neverending sleep after a few days without printing. He also disappears from the device list on the WiFi-router. The I/O-switch still glows faintly blue, but I am unable to wake up the printer via WiFi (Win10, IOS, Android), a (permanently) USB-connected Win10-PC or even any buttons on the device. Pressing buttons only leads to a "virtual" start up with whirring and blinking lights, but the printer still won't print or show up in any device list and goes back to sleep after a minute. The only working remedy is to manually cut the power (pull the cord) and plug it in again. After that the printer shows up again on all devices.
I already accessed the webclient and enabled the "wake up event" (that normally seems to be the cure, following various threads on here), but to no avail. A few days without a printed page and the printer disappears.
I just had the idea to assign him a permanent IP (something I seemed to have forgotten) but that doesn't explain the behaviour on USB.
