Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Hi. I went to scan something tonight and I was asked to provide my email address (a 4 digit pin was going to be  sent to my email address). It was and I was able to scan but why is it asking me that when I use my scanner  quite a bit and I've always just had to choose my email address. It always popped up. What is eprintcenter@hp8.us????  When and why did it switch from eprintcenter@hp.com??  Should I be concerned?
