Since I've owned my Pavilion Gaming 15-ec0000na I've experienced my Bluetooth Microsoft mouse constantly disconnecting for 3-4 seconds and then reconnecting. The same has been happening with my Bluetooth headphones and a different Bluetooth mouse. The laptop came with the default Realtek Bluetooth 5 Adapter driver.
This, of course, was driving me nuts. I searched the web for solutions and found the following, in order of popularity:
- Turning off "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
- Re-pairing the Bluetooth devices.
- Updating the BIOS
- Updating the Bluetooth adapter driver.
- Uninstalling the Bluetooth adapter for a clean install.
- Setting Bluetooth services in services.msc to Automatic.
None of these fixed the problem. This week, I fixed it. I downloaded an older version of the Realtek Bluetooth driver.
- Realtek Bluetooth 4.2 Adapter (version 1.7.1022.3004) - I'm sure you can find it somewhere online. If not, send me a message.
I cannot say that this driver alone fixed the issue as I carried out the above steps also. I suggest the following to anyway having this problem:
1. Download Realtek 4.2 Bluetooth Adapter driver.
2. Turn off "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
3. Set Bluetooth Support Service in services.msc to 'Automatic'.
4. Update BIOS.
Good luck!
