Hello all! My HP Spectre 360x unfortunately won't start up. I'm running Windows 10.
When I started up, Windows gives me the blue 😞 screen telling me an error happened. The code is CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED. HP's automatic recovery doesn't work either.
A few things happened earlier today before this:
- I was playing a game. It froze, and Windows locked up, so I had to hold the power button to turn it off.
- When I turned it back on, the network connection wasn't working at all. I couldn't detect or connect to any networks. I tried to fix it in various ways - Windows troubleshooting, uninstalling & reinstalling drivers, even System Restore. Nothing worked. A note - I think there wasn't actually a wireless adapter (?) in the driver list. Not sure, though, I can't check now.
- I tried to go into the BIOS menu to see if there might be any relevant options there. Nothing - but I did change the option to report battery time instead of just life. After that, however, my laptop wouldn't start.
I've tried tons of things to fix it, to no avail - System Restore (fails), booting in safe mode (fails), Windows's Startup Repair... Currently I'm backing up my files, which is taking a while because I have a lot of them. I'd really like to avoid reset if possible - is there something I've missed?
