I've been running into a strange issue with the HP ENVY Photo 7100 printer.
A few weeks ago I setup the printer at a new warehouse location for the company I do IT work for. I ended up using a SonicWall device for WiFi and added firewall protection. Initially I had to add a permission so the HP Printer was able to be "discoverable" on the WiFi network. After that was done, no one had any issues connecting and printing over WiFi to the printer.
However, I've been running into a weird glitch the last few weeks. If anyone takes a laptop home and then reconnects either to the WiFi or wired connections in the office, the printer driver for the HP ENVY Photo 7100 immediately fails. The only way to fix this problem is to remove the drivers in the "Printers & Scanners" area, re-scan and then re-install the drivers. We are then prompted to enter the code that shows up on the printer. Then the printer works fine.
Is this a default setting or caching issue on the part of the HP drivers?
