Product: HP Pavilion dv 8000 (ES184A)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

My Laptop is an XP pro (vista ready) DV8000 1GB Ram, AMD Turion 64  processor. I would like to know if the processor can be upgraded to a faster AMD using the same slot.  I understand from what I have been reading, that DDR333 ram can possibly be used in place of the 256-MB DDR1.

HD's should not be a problem upgrading, however to go to Win 7 (would really like to have 10 pro) this would still run a bit slower.  any other tips or fixes to upgrade this wonderful ole' laptop?  I love this thing.
