Hi.
I'm having an issue with my brand new Envy x360 13 (2020). This has ther Ryzen 7 4700u.
On battery power the CPU runs around 45-50c while doing nothing. As soon as I plug in the charger the CPU temp rises pretty much instantly to over 90c and a couple times even hit over 105c which is the max rated temp for this CPU. These temps are literally just while sitting at the desktop. I have noticed that the CPU boosts up to 4000mhz when plugged in, regardless of what I am doing.
Windows is up to date and all the latest HP drivers and BIOS have been updated. I have also tried changing power mode (e.g best battery, best performance etc), this didn't make a difference at all.
Can anyone help with this so my CPU doesn't melt every time I charge the laptop.
